Our new Filipinos Ensaimada brings together the best of Menorcan tradition with the unmistakable flavour of the classic chocolate-covered cookies.
The dough is the same as always: soft, fluffy and 100% handmade. Inside, you’ll find a creamy filling inspired by white Filipinos, and on top a generous decoration of white chocolate drizzles and crunchy pieces of white and milk-chocolate Filipinos-style cookies.
As always, handmade in our bakery in Menorca.
Ingredients
Traditional ensaimada dough: wheat flour, lard (with stabiliser: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids and antioxidants: BHA and BHT), sugar, egg, yeast, anti-caking agent: calcium carbonate, emulsifier: E472e, flour treatment agent: ascorbic acid, preservative: calcium propionate, and salt.
White Filipino filling: sugar, vegetable oils (rapeseed, palm), milk whey powder, hazelnut paste, vegetable fat (palm), emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), flavourings, white-chocolate-coated cookie (10%) (sugar, cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, lactose, milk whey powder, milk fat, emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), flavouring, wheat flour, sugar, palm oil, fat-reduced cocoa powder, glucose-fructose syrup, leavening agents (ammonium and sodium bicarbonate), salt, milk whey powder, emulsifier (soy lecithin), antioxidants (E304, E306), flavouring).
May contain traces of nuts, peanuts and sulphites.
