We know how important and significant the Menorca festivals are, and that is why we want to make them even more so with our new special holiday ensaimada, filled with our hot chocolate and decorated with our mini pastissets, carquinyols and chocolate coating. The essence of Menorca in an ensaimada!

This new special ensaimada follows the same procedure as the rest of our traditional ensaimadas. All our ensaimadas are made from wheat flour, sugar, water, free-range eggs, lard and a pinch of yeast and our artisanal sourdough, following the recipe of our ancestors, 100% artisanal, without any type of preservatives or additives.

In addition to our special ensaimadas, at Sa Sucreria, you can also find traditional ensaimadas, if you haven’t tried them yet, we invite you to do so!

If you want to enjoy your ensaimada to the fullest, we recommend that you prepare it following these simple steps:

Remove the container and let it rest for a few minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180º, turn off the oven and put the ensaimada in for a maximum of 5 minutes (we want it to get hot, not overcooked).
Use a strainer to sprinkle the powdered sugar on top.

Ensaimada ingredients:

Ensaimada: wheat flour, lard (with stabilizer: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids and antioxidants: BHA and BHT), sugar, egg, yeast, anti-caking agent: calcium carbonate, emulsifier: E472e, flour treatment agent: ascorbic acid, preservative: calcium propionate and salt.

CHOCOLATE FILLING IN THE CUP: partially skimmed milk (1% fat), sugar, milk permeate, modified corn starch, 4.5% defatted cocoa, stabilizers: E407, E451 and aromas.

DECORATED WITH: CHOCOLATE (sugar, fully hydrogenated vegetable fat, defatted cocoa powder (20%), CARQUINYOLS ALMOND (wheat flour, sugar, egg, almonds 7.13%, baking soda, cinnamon and natural lemon), CARQUINYOLS CHOCOLATE ( wheat flour, sugar, egg, chocolate 15.7% (cocoa mass, cocoa butter, lecithin and cocoa powder), hazelnuts 4.4%, baking soda and vanilla) and PASTISSETS (wheat flour, lard , sugar, egg yolk, sweet wine, vanilla and natural lemon).
