Why is it special?
The fusion of flavours is what makes this ensaimada unique: the softness of the dough is intertwined with the saltiness of the semi cured Mahón cheese from Quesos Quintana and the sweetness of the candied pears, made by hand.
This new special ensaimada follows the same procedure as the rest of our traditional ensaimadas. All our ensaimadas are made from wheat flour, sugar, water, free-range eggs, lard and a pinch of yeast and our artisan sourdough, following the recipe of our ancestors, 100% artisanal, without any preservatives or additives.
In addition to our special ensaimadas, at Sa Sucreria, you can also find traditional ensaimadas. If you haven’t tried them yet, we invite you to do so!
If you want to enjoy your ensaimada to the fullest, we recommend that you prepare it following these simple steps:
Remove the packaging and let it rest for a few minutes. Preheat the oven to 180º, turn off the oven and put the ensaimada in for no more than 5 minutes (we want it to warm up, not cook longer).
Use a strainer to sprinkle the icing sugar on top.
