The ensaimada as a Balearic culinary product has been produced in Menorca for many years, following the artisan tradition which is common in all of the Balearic Islands. Its name originates from the word “saïm” which is the pork lard which is spread on the dough.
At D’Aló, we make ensaimadas in the same way as our ancestors did, with the care and dedication of someone who loves their work and conveys this love to the product. The entire production process is done by hand, as it should be.
